An Sioux Falls man goes to his local drug store and says
to the pharmacist:

How much is a pack a' them rubbers gonna cost me?"
The pharmacist responds:

Hey, since I don't believe in Hell, I don't think you're going to burn there for this joke, but, it does raise questions about how you reconcile the promulgation with this sort of sexual humor with your previous posts regarding your Biblical faith.
I'm always curious when Christians pick and choose their morality when the Biblical mandate for moral purity in thought, word and deed is clear. The hypocrisy doesn't surprise me because I grew up in a fundamentalist tradition and I'm well aware that most professing Christians live lives that incongruent with Biblical Christianity.
It's sort of a burden to have to carry the baggage of discipleship all the time, isn't it?
Also, it is always interesting how quickly people of faith turn on their own when they show some common humanity! lol!

That's true, but we must understand, He was trying to teach them obedience!! that's a hard lesson for anyone!! in fact it's the hardest!! Look at our military! there's the right way, the wrong way, and the military way...why?? to teach obedience!!
They had the LAW and with any law there has to be penalties, to make it effective...

You asked, "Where do you get this stuff?" as if there's no ethical issue with your previous comment that good ol' Yahweh had to teach human beings "obedience" with these "laws" that had the "followed" along with the "penalities" if they were not.
You were responding to my comment to you regarding the Old Testament law that allowed for the death penalty by stoning for folks caught picking up sticks on the Sabbath.
Your belief that a Just God could ever require a human being to put to death for not keeping the letter of the "law" on the Sabbath demonstrates clearly to me how philosophies such as Nazism easily take root in Christian cultures -- after all, rules have to followed and people who break rules must be punished.
There are plenty of places where these type of laws are still enforced -- particulary in Muslim countries. I guess you don't see an ethical issue with having your hand cut off for stealing or getting hanged for blasphemy?
If you believe Yahweh's followers were just to put folks to death for breaking their Sabbath "laws" but you take an exception with these laws in countries today, then you area a morally inconsistent hypocrit.
Most Nazi's were Christians and their testimony after the fall of Germany was very similar rational as yours -- we had laws so we followed them.
Why would you tMail as if my comments were somehow incredulous or insane? I'm quite sane and quite logical. Killing people for picking up sticks on a "Holy Day" is both insane and illogical. You have to pick a team in life and you've picked yours. Good for you. So long as your so public about how great your team is, then I'll challenge that assertion and/or inference publically so that others can evaluate your assertions and inferences knowing both sides of the Yahweh story, particularly the heinous, murderous, anti-human aspects of the early followers of Yahweh as well as Yahweh's modern apologists, who are mostly contemporary Christians.

I seriously doubt that anyone was ever stoned, for picking up sticks on the sabbath!! When the risk of getting caught is extremely high, and the penalty severe..people don't risk it!! In Iran, way back when, the penalty for stealing was to lose a hand..Beshtah said you could park a wheelborrow of money in front of a building, go in for a few hours and coming out, all your money would be there, Risk of getting caught extreme!! Penalty Severe! very few one handed people walking around!!! I would imagine people would burn their furniture, rather than risk it..So the 'law' was always obeyed!!

I am a christian (with some mistakes) and I thought it was halerious don't mind what the people say about faith we tell jokes too, it doesn't mean we are bad people it means we are human DEAL!! All humans think about jokes of whatever kind they can share them or just think them what ever they chose is their choice. I learned that people say what they say usually better if it si christ like if you are christian but if you let the holy spirit live within you and show it to the best of your ability God wont punish you for telling a sex joke!!
